02/04/2022 Click here for Spotify or Apple Music. This is my seventh official release. I wanted to write a song to racists and the most prolific Bigots are white supremacists. I also wanted to make it for everyone with a Martin Luther King approach. “Darkness cannot drive out darkness and hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” So I tried to write the song to the most problematic for everyone with love. I’m releasing this in February for black history month.
The song is a heartfelt and positive vibe that elaborates on the Black Lives Matter movement. In the first verse I talk about economic conditions. In the second verse I talk about the war on drugs and America’s culture of punishment and in the third verse I talk about the police killings of Breonna Taylor, Philando Castile, and George Floyd.
The beat is from Tantubeats.com. The track was professionally produced, tracked, mixed, and mastered by They Call Me Heat of Crackhouse Recordings in Lansing Michigan. You can stream or download the track wherever music is sold. Be sure to follow because new music is released the first Friday of every month.
Lyrics:
I just wanna love you
I just wanna love you for you
Black lives matter, Check it, come on
This a song about rights, and how black lives matter
Let me share a little history of how we treat you went your blacker
The police were once used to round up slaves
And the prison population mostly black today (that’s connected)
Black people don’t just commit more crimes
It’s racist to think that and if don’t think so, your blind
Look I got credibility
A degree in sociology
And I’m teling you that black people are profiled and over-policed
Neighborhoods are redline
Property undervalued
Less likely to get a loan
But at a higher interest faster
still have to fix laws from segregation
That criminalize vagrance
imprisons patients
This the red, white, and blue
This is what we do
Our rigid Christian values will skew your whole view
I listen to tucker and Shapiro and think that I’m woke
When I’m really what’s the problem and the butt of the joke
Dumb white ignorant
Dumb white ignorant dude
I just wanna love you
I just wanna love you for you
Dumb white ignorant
Dumb white ignorant dude
Black lives matter
Together we gon make martins dreams come true
this music your montra, take it beyond it
Support ending legislation that leaves people in bondage
The war on drugs
Is the war on love
Recognize what it does
It’s a war on us
The people, we see through
The Government’s deceitful
weed deemed egregious
When the cops more lethal
It’s a culture of punishment not a culutre of care
What’s the death toll gotta be, this to much to bear
If you can’t change the world, just do what you can
Til people come’n together and take’n the stance
We recognize your hardship
don’t wanna do you wrong with
The oppression, we’re certain
We wanna take away the burden
Change our laws
To reflect our cause
Peace, love, and unity
A community with heart
It must be true cuz a straight white man said it
Black lives matter, now ever body together
I just wanna love you
I just wanna love you for you
I just wanna love you
I just wanna love you for you
I just wanna love you
I just wanna love you for you
Black lives matter
Together we gon make martins dreams come true
Don’t play semantics
When people die’n and it tragic
Briana taylor committed no crime
She was at home with her boyfriend sleep’n at night
Flanado castile got shot just obeyin
An order from a cop to get his registration
Some so racist, won’t recognize it blatant
That george floyd died from suffication
A threat to justice anywhere
a threat to justice everywhere
Stand up for whats right and show that you care
Dumb white ignorant dude
I just wanna love you
I just wanna love you for you
Dumb white ignorant
Dumb white ignorant dude
Black lives matter
Together we gon make martins dreams come true
