Come On Dawg

11/04/2022 Click here for Spotify or Apple Music. This is my 23rd official release. “Come On Dawg” is a political rap track. This song is about keeping it real in hip-hop. I challenge other rappers to rap about topics like universal healthcare, gun laws, corporate welfare, and that criminalization equals slavery; or any social justice issue that is close to their heart for that matter. The message is, I do it for the money too, but just don’t do it all for the money and be hot because it’s the situation you're in, say something real.
The beat is from KeyAnobeat.com. The track was professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered by Sam Peters at LA Luna Recording Studio in Kalamazoo Michigan. You can stream or download the track wherever music is sold. Thank you for your support. Be sure to follow because new music is released every first and third Friday of every month.
Come on dawg, why you frontin
Always actin like it nothing
Uh, yeah, got me gruntin
Tell me why you look disgruntled
You don’t want that conversation
How you gimmick for the paper
What you do is for the payment
What artist? you’re a situation
Come on dawg, you ain’t real
You’re worried bout the mass appeal
About how corporations deal
About how money make you feel
You don’t want that conversation
How you gimmick for the paper
What you do is for the payment
What artist? your a situation
Half of you dude just murder bitches
Like egomaniacal, and misogynistic
And then go out and promote to children
I’d prefer and your absurd words all go missing
Fuck wit me and you might get biten
I got problems, you know my writtens
Another rap track from the mitten
It’s like a rat trap where I’m live’n
I live in america where we can’t afford to pay
For healthcare unless its privatized and makes them bank
What’s the biggest lobby in congress?
Who benefits and who profits?
What’s better in the optics?
For the people and for progress
The number one cause of bankrupt
In the US is medical bills
The burden real, to much to bare,
Support universal health care
I do it for the money too, yeah I got club hits
But were different cuz cuz my music has substance (what)
I do it for the money too, yeah I got club hits
But were different cuz cuz my music has substance (that’s right)
Come on dawg, why you frontin
Always actin like it nothing
Uh, yeah, got me gruntin
Tell me why you look disgruntled
You don’t want that conversation
How you gimmick for the paper
What you do is for the payment
What artist? you’re a situation
We need gun regulation, schools need peace
March for our lives, assault rifles not a need
This is what to say when they refuse to cease
But you’re just like your gun, you’re a tool and a peice
You pay more in taxes to corporations
Than any sort of welfare payment
Like way more, check the ledger
The tax code supports corporate welfare
Slavery never ended, it just got a different name
Like criminal, to take his home, and pay him just the minimal
Go and stack it till these G’s tall
Gonna let that karma revolve
But I I be like Mr. Beast ya’ll
Go plant a fuckin tree dawg
Tell me bout your decency
Love and ingenuity
You got bands, thats dope for sure
But tell me what you stand for
Come on dawg, why you frontin
Always actin like it nothing
Uh, yeah, got me gruntin
Tell me why you look disgruntled
You don’t want that conversation
How you gimmick for the paper
What you do is for the payment
What artist? you’re a situation
Come on dawg, you ain’t real
You’re worried bout the mass appeal
About how corporations deal
About how money make you feel
You don’t want that conversation
How you gimmick for the paper
What you do is for the payment
What artist? your a situation
