10/21/2022 Click here for Spotify or Apple Music. This is my 22nd official release. “We Dance” is an energetic dance track. October is LGBTQ+ history month. This song is about and celebrates sexual freedom. It gives a little history of gay oppression and sends a message of love.
I wanted to give this song a purpose. Basically, when you can dance in protest I hope you chose this song to dance to for lgbtq rights. An example of how dancing can become a protest was when dancing broke out at the Jefferson memorial after arrests for dancing. To be clear, when I say “we dance for Marsha, we dance for Martin” I mean Marsha P. Johnson and Dr. Martin Luther King.
